Gym membership is not needed to take the class.

Sweat 2 The Beat classes are designed to be fun and challenging allowing attendees to have a safe place where they can step out of their comfort zone and express themselves through dance.

It doesn't matter if you get a move wrong or if you step on the wrong beat. It's about having fun while getting fit "keep going, keep smiling, don't give up!"

Each class comprises of an easy to follow warm up using dynamic stretches to prepare the body for exercise, we then move on to an easy to follow dance fitness routine, as the class progresses the moves get a little more challenging.

 

A climax is reached with a high impact routine designed to get the heart racing, this is followed with some swift relief in the form of what we call a “breather” song. This is usually a song that everyone can jam to and really have fun with. You stay high impact or take advantage of the “breather” song and slow it down, the choice is yours.

 

In the middle of the class we have a “performance routine” this is a routine that may take a few weeks to get the hang of and once everyone is comfortable we can really PERFORM it!

 

Towards the end of the class the pace is slowed down with routines that incorporate toning movements and music to bring the heart rate down and then we end with some gentle stretches.
